Getting started
A useful site.
A clear next step.
Start with your business workspace, then build only what you need. These same steps work for a club, community, or personal event.
01 · Build and share
Publish your first site
- Choose your workspace. Check its name in the dashboard so the site belongs to the right business or personal workspace.
- Name your site and choose a starting point. Use a Business site or Business event, or begin with a blank site. Keep the pages you need and change their sample content.
- Add the essentials. Give visitors a clear title, useful details, and one next action. For an event, include its date, location, and RSVP settings.
- Preview as a visitor. Check each page on a narrow screen. Complete any required tool settings before sharing.
- Use Review & share. Check the site's audience and publication status, then use its shared link. A saved draft is not a published site.
Check the saved status before leaving. If a save fails, keep the editor open and retry; do not assume your last changes reached the server.
02 · Know who is coming
Invitations and responses
- Set up the RSVP page. Choose the questions, capacity, and closing date. The displayed cutoff uses UTC; check it before sharing.
- Choose the right access. Open RSVPs do not require a guest account. “Verified accounts required” asks guests to sign in with a verified email; it does not select an invitation roster. The site's audience setting controls access to the whole site.
- Share the published link. Preview the guest experience first. Check communication allowances and recipients before sending a message.
- Manage responses from the site's RSVP list. Read both the number of responses and the number of people. A waitlisted party does not yet have confirmed places.
- Use host actions carefully. A promotion needs room for the whole party. Removing a response frees its places but does not block the person from responding again while responses are open.
After the closing date, an existing guest can still decline or reduce their party. New attendance and increases stay closed. Anonymous guests need their original browser to change a response.
03 · Keep everyone informed
Change details after sharing
- Open the existing site. Check the workspace and site name before editing. Use the existing site rather than creating a replacement link.
- Edit, save, and preview. Wait for the saved status, then check the published view. If an error appears, retry before telling guests the change is ready.
- Tell people about important changes. Updating a page does not mean everyone has seen it. Use the appropriate conversation or communication tool to explain a changed time or location.
- Check delivery status. A queued message is waiting to be processed. Review any failure before assuming it reached the recipient.
04 · Share the work
Work with your team
- Start in your Business workspace. Its name identifies the sites, contacts, conversations, and allowances you are managing.
- Give each teammate their own account. Use the workspace's existing team controls and choose the appropriate role. Your personal account settings and your workspace settings are separate.
- Pick up unread conversations. Open Inbox from its unread badge. On a phone, open a conversation, reply, then use Back to return to the list.
- Keep contacts and usage in view. Search or filter when you need a particular group. Check email and SMS allowances before a larger send.
