This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of the EventSimpler Services and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms.
1. General rule
Use the Services lawfully, honestly, and without harming other people, their rights, or the operation of the platform. You are responsible for User Content, Sites, forms, communications, links, integrations, and activity under your account, including activity performed for a client or organization.
2. Child safety and sexual exploitation
You may not create, upload, solicit, link to, distribute, store, promote, or facilitate:
- Child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, enticement, or any sexual exploitation of a person under 18.
- Content that identifies, sexualizes, humiliates, or endangers a minor, including AI-generated or digitally altered sexual imagery of a minor.
- Instructions, communities, transactions, or services intended to obtain, trade, conceal, or normalize child sexual exploitation material.
- Requests that a child submit personal information, images, audio, video, or direct contact information without appropriate adult authority and legally required consent.
If you encounter suspected child sexual exploitation material, do not download, save, forward, or attach it to a report. Submit the Site URL and location through https://eventsimpler.com/legal/report/. We may preserve evidence and report apparent violations to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and law enforcement.
3. Nonconsensual intimate imagery and sexual content
You may not create, upload, publish, threaten to publish, solicit, or distribute intimate images or videos of an identifiable person without that person's consent. This includes authentic material, hidden-camera material, altered images, face swaps, and AI-generated or other digital forgeries. Consent to create or privately share an image does not by itself mean consent to publish it.
You may not use the Services for pornography, sexually explicit content, sexual services, escort services, sexual solicitation, fetish content, or content primarily intended for sexual gratification. Limited non-explicit content for legitimate education, health, art, or reporting may be permitted at our discretion if lawful and appropriately presented.
A depicted person or authorized representative may request removal through the Nonconsensual Intimate Image Removal Process at https://eventsimpler.com/legal/intimate-image-removal/. No account is required.
4. Violence, threats, self-harm, and dangerous activity
You may not use the Services to:
- Make credible threats, incite violence, coordinate violent wrongdoing, glorify a recent violent attack in a way that encourages imitation, or target a person for physical harm.
- Promote, recruit for, materially support, or coordinate terrorist or violent extremist activity.
- Encourage, instruct, or pressure another person to engage in suicide, self-injury, eating-disorder behavior, or other serious self-harm.
- Provide instructions intended to create explosives, poisons, malware-enabled physical attacks, or other weapons for unlawful harm.
- Sell, transfer, or facilitate illegal weapons, controlled substances, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or other unlawful products or services.
Content discussing violence, self-harm, crime, or dangerous subjects for news, prevention, recovery, education, or advocacy may be allowed when it does not facilitate harm.
5. Harassment, hate, and privacy abuse
You may not use the Services to:
- Target a person with sustained harassment, sexual harassment, stalking, intimidation, humiliation, or coordinated abuse.
- Promote violence, exclusion, or dehumanization against people based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, serious disease, or another legally protected characteristic.
- Publish personal information without authorization when doing so creates a meaningful risk of harassment, fraud, identity theft, or physical harm. This includes home addresses, personal phone numbers, private email addresses, live location, financial information, government identifiers, medical information, authentication credentials, or information about minors.
- Create pages intended to shame, expose, blacklist, or mobilize abuse against private individuals without a legitimate public-interest purpose.
Criticism, parody, political disagreement, documentation of misconduct, and reporting on matters of public concern are not automatically prohibited. Context, targeting, privacy, accuracy, and risk of harm matter.
6. Fraud, impersonation, phishing, and deceptive practices
You may not use the Services to:
- Impersonate another person or organization, falsely claim affiliation or endorsement, or use a deceptive domain, logo, page design, or sender identity.
- Create fake government, bank, employer, school, healthcare, charity, ticketing, login, payment, or support pages.
- Collect passwords, payment credentials, authentication codes, identity documents, or sensitive personal data through deception or an unsupported form.
- Operate scams, pyramid schemes, fraudulent fundraisers, fake contests, advance-fee schemes, deceptive subscriptions, or misleading investment or employment offers.
- Hide or misrepresent a link destination, install unwanted software, or trick a visitor into downloading a file, granting permissions, or sending money.
7. Intellectual property and identity rights
You may not upload, publish, distribute, sell, or use content that infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Do not remove watermarks, ownership notices, or access controls, and do not use a person's name, likeness, voice, or brand in a misleading commercial manner.
Copyright claims must follow the Copyright and DMCA Policy. Repeat infringement may result in account termination even if different Sites, domains, or files are involved.
8. Spam and communications abuse
You may not:
- Send unsolicited bulk email, text messages, invitations, or other communications, or use purchased, scraped, guessed, or unlawfully obtained contact lists.
- Ignore unsubscribe, opt-out, consent-withdrawal, deletion, or objection requests.
- Use false sender information, misleading subject lines, deceptive reply-to addresses, or content that disguises the commercial nature of a message.
- Use the Services primarily to redirect traffic, manipulate engagement metrics, generate artificial responses, or evade another provider's messaging controls.
You must comply with applicable email, telephone, text-message, privacy, and marketing laws and with the policies of connected providers.
9. Malware, security, and technical abuse
You may not:
- Upload or link to malware, ransomware, spyware, credential stealers, destructive code, malicious documents, or code intended to gain unauthorized access.
- Probe, scan, test, exploit, or bypass security, rate limits, authentication, permissions, moderation, usage limits, or payment controls without written authorization.
- Interfere with the Services or another user through denial-of-service activity, excessive automated requests, scraping, bot traffic, resource exhaustion, cryptomining, or abusive embeds.
- Reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or use the Services to build a competing hosted service except as permitted by law or written agreement.
- Create multiple accounts, domains, or identities to evade enforcement, billing, usage limits, or a prior suspension.
- Use the Services as a general-purpose file dump, anonymous redirector, command-and-control channel, or storage system unrelated to a legitimate Site.
Good-faith security research must be authorized in advance through hello@eventsimpler.com.
10. Privacy and data-collection abuse
You may not collect, use, export, sell, disclose, or combine Site Data unlawfully or for a purpose that a reasonable Site Visitor would not expect from the Site notice. You must not collect highly sensitive information unless the feature is expressly designed and approved for that purpose.
Organizers must provide a clear notice when collecting personal information, identify the Organizer, explain who receives responses, and obtain consent when required. Marketing permission must be separate from the action needed to RSVP, submit a form, or access a Site.
You may not secretly track Site Visitors, fingerprint devices, add undisclosed advertising pixels, or combine EventSimpler data with third-party profiles in violation of law or our documentation.
11. Regulated and restricted activities
You are responsible for licenses, permits, age restrictions, disclosures, refunds, and legal compliance for any regulated activity. Without our prior written approval, you may not use the Services as the primary system for gambling, lending, securities offerings, money transmission, insurance, medical diagnosis or treatment, prescription drugs, controlled substances, adult services, weapons sales, or another high-risk regulated service.
Fundraising, political activity, alcohol-related events, contests, raffles, ticketing, and charitable solicitations must comply with applicable law and may be restricted by payment, hosting, or communications providers.
12. Enforcement
We may review reports and relevant account information; temporarily restrict a Site; remove or disable content; block links or files; limit communications; suspend publishing; preserve evidence; require verification; terminate accounts; block re-registration; or notify service providers, affected persons, regulators, or law enforcement. The response may depend on severity, context, history, legal obligations, and risk.
We may immediately disable content involving child exploitation, nonconsensual intimate imagery, credible threats, phishing, malware, or imminent harm. We may provide a warning or correction period for lower-risk violations when appropriate. We are not required to provide advance notice when doing so could create risk, interfere with an investigation, or violate law.
13. Reporting a violation
Submit a report at https://eventsimpler.com/legal/report/ or by emailing hello@eventsimpler.com. Include the Site URL, specific page or content location, category of concern, a concise explanation, and any supporting information that can be shared safely. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information or illegal files.

For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. A platform report is not an emergency-response system.
14. Appeals
An Account Holder may appeal a moderation decision through hello@eventsimpler.com within 30 days. The appeal should identify the decision, explain why it was mistaken, and provide relevant context or authorization. We may decline repetitive, abusive, fraudulent, or legally prohibited appeals. Content subject to a valid legal removal process may require a separate statutory counter-notice or court process.
15. Changes and contact
We may update this AUP as the Services, risks, and laws change. Material changes will receive notice consistent with the Terms of Service. Questions may be sent to hello@eventsimpler.com.
